All Ceramic "Metal Free" Restorations

All Ceramic Crowns and Bridges

Replaced old existing single tooth bridge with metal reinforced backing with a custom designed, chemically bonded, all porcelain bridge. Full coverage bonding on top front teeth to fill in chips.

ALL CERAMIC (METAL-FREE*) BRIDGES

Metal-free bridges are the all ceramic option for closing the gap resulting from a missing tooth.  The adjacent teeth are prepared for crowns, which serve as anchors for the prosthetic ceramic tooth.  Bridges are ideal choices for replacing teeth for patients who aren’t candidates for implants.

Front missing tooth replaced with a custom designed, chemically bonded, all porcelain bridge. All porcelain veneers bonded on adjacent tooth to make smile balanced and symmetrical.

ALL CERAMIC (METAL-FREE*) CROWNS

Metal-free ceramic crowns are the preferred alternative to traditional porcelain-fused-to-metal restorations.  Fabricated from high-strength ceramics, they are biocompatible, durable, and unmatched in esthetics. Since the core material of these crowns is the color of a tooth instead of metal, the restoration has all the translucency, luster, and light reflection of a natural tooth; and there aren’t any dark metal bands around the neck of the crown to hide.

Replaced old metal based crowns on top back teeth with a custom designed, all porcelain crowns.  Replaced old metal based crowns on back bottom teeth with custom designed, chemically bonded, all porcelain crowns.

All Ceramic Inlays and Onlays

Ceramic inlays and onlays are metal-free*restorations custom designed and fabricated to replace just the portion of a posterior tooth lost to decay or fracture. As the preferred alternative to amalgam (silver) or composite (bonded) fillings, ceramic inlays restore the decayed area while preserving and strengthening the natural tooth structure.  For a healthy and bright looking smile, old silver and bonded fillings can be removed and replaced with ceramic inlays since they are tooth colored, biocompatible, and durable.

Porcelain onlays and inlays are a stronger and longer lasting option when a tooth-colored filling isn't strong enough to restore the tooth. Fabricated with slow release fluoride, these restorations will protect you by continually strengthening the tooth from the inside out. They are specially fabricated porcelain onlays that conserve the surrounding healthy tooth and bone. This technique-sensitive restoration is simply the best in many circumstances. Because a porcelain onlay is made of stronger, bio-esthetic material, it will last longer than any filling without irritation to your gum tissue. The bonding process of an onlay restores a tooth to 80% of its natural chewing strength!

You are a candidate for porcelain onlays/inlays if:

  • One third or more of your tooth is filling material
  • If a cusp of your tooth needs to be supported
  • If you desire a more conservative restoration than a traditional crown
  • You want a longer lasting restoration than a tooth-colored filling
